Dune: Spice Wars Rolls Out ‘Conquest’, It’s Biggest Update To Date
Dune: Spice Wars released its Conquest Update yesterday, the 4X real-time strategy game’s fourth and biggest update yet. The update introduced new replayable solo scenarios and challenges as part of the new Conquest Mode, featuring roughly 10 hours of new content that will put your political prowess, economy management, and battle skills to the test.
The update also added new playstyles for each of the major houses, with powerful and unique perks that you’ll be able to use to adapt to various scenarios. New players can also expect a new and expanded tutorial to help them get acquainted with the world of Arrakis. New regions have also been added along with new buildings tailored for each faction.
Aside from the addition of new content, Conquest also brought improvements to various gameplay systems, including enhanced spying mechanics, a revamp of assassination mechanics, tweaks to the economy system, an overhaul of resource management and nuke mechanics, and various quality-of-life improvements.
With the Conquest Update, Dune: Spice Wars takes a significant leap forward in its development following the game’s early access launch nearly a year ago. It will also be the final update before the game transitions to full release. Funcom has yet to announce when that will be going down.
In the meantime, players have a host of new content to enjoy, a preview of which can be found in the official update trailer below. You can also check out the full update notes on the Dune: Spice Wars Steam page.
