Duet Night Abyss Locks in October 28 Launch for PC and Mobile

Duet Night Abyss, a free-to-play action RPG from Beijing-based Pan Studio and publisher Hero Games, will arrive worldwide on October 28 for PC, iOS, and Android. The studio confirmed the date after several closed tests and a well-received showing at Gamescom 2025, where the game’s hybrid hack-and-slash and third-person shooter combat drew plenty of attention.

More than five million players have already pre-registered, hinting at strong day-one interest. The project follows a growing trend of mobile games opting for cross-platform launches like Honkai: Star Rail or Genshin Impact. Unlike other mobile gacha RPGs, every weapon can be equipped by any character, and there are no stamina gates, a design choice aimed at keeping sessions uninterrupted.

  • Dual-protagonist campaign told from both Phoxhunters’ viewpoints, with branching dialogue and multiple endings.
  • No character or weapon gacha: progression relies on mission rewards rather than random pulls.
  • Weapons can be swapped freely between melee and ranged styles, allowing on-the-fly adaptation in combat.
  • No stamina or time-gated limitations, encouraging longer play sessions without artificial pauses.
  • Reusable “Demon Wedges” socket system for customizing builds without extra costs.
  • Cosmetic palette swaps let players tweak each character’s look.
  • Japanese voice cast features actors known for roles in Attack on Titan and other major anime series.

While Pan Studio is a newer name, publisher Hero Games has experience with mobile shooters like Utopia: Origin. Time will tell if Duet Night Abyss proves successful, but the trailers at least look promising.
