Disney Dreamlight Valley Confirms That Multiplayer Will Be Coming Later This Year

While there’s plenty of things to do in Disney Dreamlight Valley, adventuring with friends isn’t one of them… yet. Multiplayer functionality, however, will soon be coming to the community simulator later this year as revealed in the game’s latest development roadmap.
As a prelude to the addition of multiplayer, developer Gameloft kicked off a community-wide event last month in the form of the Dreamsnaps photo challenge. The challenge rewards all participants with in-game currency in addition to a randomized selection of outfits or furniture items from the Scrooge Store depending on the week’s tasks.
Meanwhile, fans are still waiting on the game’s promised transition to free-to-play which is expected to happen sometime this year. For the time being, you’ll need to cough up at least $29.99 to purchase the base edition of the game.
