This month’s DC Universe Online Legion of Doom update, a.k.a. Update 119, inadvertently came with a bug that allowed players to exploit all systems tied to fortification. The good news is that after almost a week of trying to sort things out, the devs have finally fixed the issue which Senior Community Manager Mepps describes as, “one of the most obscure and challenging bugs / exploits I have personally seen in these past (nearly) 12 years.”

“The team worked all hours and vigorously to find the problem and get a fix out. Even so, the issues still took nearly a full week to resolve and that was too long. I apologize for this delay - we apologize for this situation - and we will work to prevent similar events in the future.”

The team has also taken action against players who abused the bug and have indefinitely suspended more than 800 accounts. The team says that most of the suspended accounts will probably be permanently banned and that they’re expecting to add even more accounts to the list once they complete their investigation next month.

Meanwhile, other bugs that popped up in Update 119, such as missing Feats and Origin Augments as well as characters that have put into a bad state, will be addressed once the new year rolls around.

“For situations that prevent you from playing the game, please open a ticket with our support team [here]. For lesser issues, please refrain from opening tickets and know that we will correct the problems,” advised the dev team.
