Dark And Light Face Off In Star Wars: The Old Republic On June 28th

Bioware announced today that a new Star Wars: The Old Republic event that pits the dark and light sides against each other will begin on June 28th. Aptly named "Dark vs. Light," the event requires players to create a new character once the event has started and play through the six levels of event content. The side with more players will win. You can track the balance of power during the event here once the event begins.

In return for playing through the event content, players have a chance to unlock mounts, pets, and more. You can even unlock one of two companions—pictured above—depending on the choices you make in-game.

Interestingly, Bioware has stated that the choices players make "will determine the state of the galaxy as the future of Star Wars: The Old Republic evolves this fall." While no details have been given, keep that in mind when choosing a side!
