Conan Chop Chop Officially Launches On All Platforms, Pledges $100K To Ukraine Red Cross

What the gaming community initially thought was an elaborate April Fool’s joke from Funcom is now a full-blown game as Conan Chop Chop officially arrives on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Buying the game will also help support Funcom’s relief efforts for the victims of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
“Like most of the world, the horrible events taking place in Ukraine are at the forefront of our minds,” Funcom said in the launch press release. “We want to take this opportunity to bring awareness to the humanitarian crisis and do our small part to help. Funcom will be donating 100,000 USD of the proceeds from Conan Chop Chop to the humanitarian efforts in Ukraine through the Red Cross.”
For those who are just finding out about the game, Conan Chop Chop is a stick figure 4-player co-op roguelite based on Funcom’s Conan the Barbarian IP featured in its Conan Exiles and Age of Conan games. Funcom and Mighty Kingdom initially planned to release the game as a split-screen couch co-op game but has since been redesigned with full online multiplayer features.
“Conan Chop Chop, Funcom and Mighty Kingdom’s 1-4 player co-op roguelite party game, releases today on PC and consoles, completing its journey from pretend April Fools’ joke to living legend. Either solo or in online and local co-op, step into the leathery sandals of Hyboria’s greatest thin-limbed heroes to put a stick in the evil machinations of the treacherous wizard Thoth-Amon. Witness this gloriously mad take on the world of Conan the Barbarian in today’s launch trailer.”
A free playable demo is available on Steam and Nintendo Switch for those who want to take the game for a spin before dropping cash on it. The game can be purchased at 10% off until March 8th, at which point it will revert to its original price of $14.99.
