Both Darkfall Online Reincarnations Provide Updates

Earlier this week, both Darkfall Online reincarnations provided progress updates. With both teams working directly with the source code, it was only a matter of time until we began to see regular updates on development.

This week, the Rise of Agon team managed to get the game servers online. The AI are in a functional state and around 70% of all of the game's mobs are working as intended. According to the lead programmer, "once we have both player quest and clan systems up and running the game will be very close to where it was at when it shutdown in late 2012." However, they "already have an immense compilation of bugs/issues that have been documented internally" that they will be working to address "in the coming weeks."

The New Dawn team has their "full InDev server infrastructure deployed and going under QA" as of this week. They've modernized some of the code, upgrading to "the latest version of compilers." Most "client side archiving" bugs have been sorted out.

In the future, the New Dawn team is looking to set up hardware, adapt and integrate the patcher and web services, and sift through the "almost a hundred tools" that they were given to work on the game.
