Blizzard Explains World Of Warcraft Talent Tree Makeover

The news that Blizzard will be reworking the World of Warcraft Talent system with the launch of the Legion expansion has been out for quite some time now. Amid all the confusion and speculation brewing within the gaming community, the game's developers have been particularly tight-lipped as to why exactly they're turning the system on its head. Fortunately, they’ve finally decided to shed some light on the matter with a new post on the game’s official forums.
“One of the goals of talents in Legion is to provide more meaningful choice than before, with a focus on customizing your gameplay to suit your tastes. More than ever before, there are options to add or remove complexity, skew what your spec excels at, or opt into alternative rotation styles,” Blizzard said.
The developers also explained that the reason for rearranging the Talent trees was to give players more freedom to mix generally useful talents instead of sticking to the more specialized ones, and, hopefully blur the line between the “theoretical best Talent” and the other choices in the Talent tree.
