Blitzkrieg 3 Gets Map Rotation, Changes To Mines And Fortifications
In the latest Blitzkrieg 3 DevBlog, the lead designer details the ways in which they are looking to "improve combat doctrine." To start, they have added a "map rotation" mechanism. This allows players to pay 10,000 Glory to request a transfer to a different part of the front. Map boundaries will be receiving a rework, as well, to remove the black areas around each map. According to the DevBlog, the aim is to make map edges "logically justified and reachable."

Mines will be receiving a rework. While the details as of yet are sparse, the goal is to make them much harder to find. Some generals will even be given "great bonuses" for using them.
Fortifications are also receiving a rework. The details are not yet decided, but the team is aiming to emphasize each fortification's role through upgrades. The example given is a pillbox. They are supposed to hold the enemy back by being durable and hard to take down. The idea in place right now is that you could upgrade wall thickness or weapons in your pillbox. The team is also considering making it so that separate supply points can be placed for fortifications, allowing defense placement to be "more strategic."
