Black Panther And The War For Wakanda Expansion Is Coming To Marvel’s Avengers On August 17

Black Panther will be making his long-awaited debut in Marvel’s Avengers next month with the launch of the War for Wakanda expansion. War for Wakanda is the Avengers-inspired game’s biggest expansion to date and will be available for free starting on August 17. The expansion will feature around 9 hours of new story content along with new environments, new missions, new villains, and more.
“Marvel’s Avengers Expansion: Black Panther – War for Wakanda will launch on August 17th as a free update to all owners of the core game. In addition to adding Black Panther, the War for Wakanda Expansion also brings with it new Villains, a brand-new environment to explore, new enemies, the Royal Palace Outpost, new solo or multiplayer Drop Zone and Threat Sector missions and more, adding the most content to Marvel’s Avengers since the game’s launch.”
To encourage new players to try the game and old players to jump back in, Square Enix is currently holding an All-Access Weekend on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Steam, and Google Stadia. Sorry, Xbox users. The free trial period will run until August 2 at 9am PDT on PlayStation and Steam, while Google Stadia users will only have until 8am PDT on the same day to take the game for a spin.
Players who login during the All-Access Weekend will receive 4x XP, bonus resources, and will get 50% off on Marketplace items. The game is also available at 40% off during the event. A War Table for Wakanda is also scheduled for August 16 with special surprises awaiting viewers during the stream. More information can be found on the Marvel’s Avengers official site.
