Co-op Survival Sandbox Bellwright Is Launching Into Steam Early Access This Month

Last Oasis developer Donkey Crew is finally throwing open the doors to gritty medieval world of Bellwright as it prepares for the game’s early access launch later this month. The studio says that they spent the last few weeks addressing feedback from last month’s playtest and are now ready to set the co-op survival sandbox loose on Steam on April 23.

“Establish and expand your own settlements, liberate the land and assist its villagers, and recruit others to your cause while learning more about a life you had to leave behind. Command your forces, prove your valor through combat, and cement yourself as the hero of your people.”

The game was first announced in March 2023 to the ire of Last Oasis players who haven’t seen an update since October 2022. The fate of Last Oasis remains unclear as Donkey Crew remains silent on the matter, leading to concerns that the studio might have abandoned the woodpunk survival game in favor of Bellwright.

In any case, survival sandbox fans have another game to look forward to this month. Let’s just hope that it doesn’t meet the same fate as its predecessor.
