Last Oasis Devs Release Demo For New Medieval Co-op Survival Game ‘Bellwright’

Donkey Crew has announced that they’re working on a new game called Bellwright as they abandon their plans to revamp and reboot their failed post-apocalyptic survival game Last Oasis. For Bellwright, the studio has moved away from the end-of-days setting for the more familiar, and dare I say, safer medieval fantasy theme. It’s still going to be a survival game though, but at a smaller scale with single-player and online co-op modes instead of a full-blown MMO.
A playable demo of the game is now available on Steam as part of the platform’s latest indie-focused Next Fest event. The demo will be available to download and play for free throughout the event which will run until June 26th.
“Bellwright demo features the beginning of the hero’s story, just as you return to your homeland, where your journey starts,” announced Donkey Crew. “Establish and grow your own village, help others and recruit them to your cause, command your army and fight in epic battles. All of this and much more is available in the demo, where you’re free to explore an entire region of the kingdom of Karvenia, discovering countless quests, enemies, treasures, and other secrets within it.”
You can check out Baron Kreight’s roughly hour-long footage of the demo below to see if it’s your cup of tea.
