Back 4 Blood And Splitgate Join Most-Played Games On Steam Over The Weekend
Back 4 Blood managed to grab a spot on the Steam rankings within the first two days of its early access beta test. The highly-anticipated zombie co-op shooter set a peak player concurrency of just over 98,000 players last Friday night, temporarily ousting Rust as the 6th most-played game on Steam. To put things into context, the early access beta is only open to players who pre-purchased the game for $59.99. Just imagine how many more players will flock to the game in the upcoming free open beta on August 12.
Another early access multiplayer shooter shot up the rankings over the weekend with Splitgate setting an all-time high of over 67,700 players following the free-to-play sci-fi portal shooter’s official launch on July 21. The previous record up until the recent spike was 11,900 players which was set in May 2019 when the game launched into early access.
