Amazon Rolls Out A Hotfix For Login Issues And Long Queues On Crucible Launch Day

crucible concept art bannerRocky launch days seem to have become the norm with today’s online games as Amazon Game Studios’ Crucible struggled with login problems and prolonged queues after the game officially opened its servers yesterday. Apparently, the issues were caused by datacenter routing problems. The developers, however, were quick to roll out a hotfix late in the evening along with a number of bug fixes.

Here are the contents of the hotfix:

  • Players outside of North America can now download and play Crucible.
  • Players will now be properly directed to their nearest datacenter.
  • Fixed a bug that kept the tutorial game mode selected even after the tutorial has been completed. Players who complete the tutorial will now see the Heart of the Hives mode automatically selected after completing the tutorial.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented players from receiving unlock notifications for purchases.
  • Fixed an occasional server crash.

You'll find the full patch notes on the Crucible official site.
