Crucible Reveals Upcoming Changes To Heart Of The Hives
Since Amazon Game Studios pulled Crucible back into Closed Beta, they’ve made several key changes to the game including revamped scenarios and objectives and a new mini-map. The devs are now planning to introduce a number of changes to the game’s primary game mode, Heart of the Hives, which are now undergoing internal testing by the team.
According to this month's developer update, the latest internal build features locked spawn points for players, centralized objectives, creature guards around objectives, nerfed health boost pods, adjusted objective timing, and less XP earned from kills to encourage players to focus more on creature camps and harvesters. The developers have also made changes to the code to prevent Hives from spawning in the same location twice in one match.
The changes will be rolling out in the closed beta server in about a month or so. Keep in mind that these are still works-in-progress and might still change along the way. They might not even be part of the same release says the devs.
