Albion Online’s Massive Lands Awakened Update Has Officially Arrived

The massive and highly-awaited Lands Awakened update is now live in Albion Online, bringing with it fundamental changes to the fantasy MMORPG’s open world gameplay along with better looking environments.

Over the past few months, Sandbox Interactive has painstakingly reworked all five of the game’s biomes with significantly-improved visuals, updated terrain, and all-new layouts. In addition, the expansion also introduces new gameplay mechanics to encourage players to venture out into open world, including revamped open-world dungeons, open-world mobs that get stronger and drop better loot over time, better rewards for those who travel to unexplored zones.

Lands Awakened also brings fast, brawler-style combat to the game by way of the new War Gloves weapon line. War Gloves allow for a variety of combo attacks and offer unique options for mobility and ranged attacks thanks to an additional Q slot ability.

The update also shakes up open-world PvP and Guild Warfare with the addition of new dynamically-spawning treasure sites, new Power Core and Energy Crystal capture-the-flag style open-world objectives, and the new Conqueror’s Challenge, Might, and Favor systems for Guild Seasons. Elite Levels have also been added to give veteran players a new form of progression that will allow them to further tailor-fit their builds to their preferred playstyle.

But wait, there’s more! Lands Awakened also comes with major quality-of-life changes, including Loadouts, optimized farming, and a more streamlined item rerolling system. There’s also a boatload of bug fixes, balance changes, and other improvements.
