Albion Online ‘Call To Arms’ Update Arrives On March 17
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been covering the upcoming Albion Online Call to Arms update which features a major revamp of the game’s faction warfare system, dubbed Faction Warfare 2.0. Call to Arms is the next major update for the fantasy MMORPG and will be arriving on March 17 as announced by developer Sandbox Interactive earlier today.
Along with major changes to the existing faction war mechanics, Call to Arms also promises a new bandit faction called Caerleon, new elite faction mounts with powerful combat skills, as well as active faction abilities that can only be used when flagged for faction PvP. The game world will also be expanded with new conquerable regions to provide more space for the game’s growing population. A new Bandit Invasion event will also be introduced to encourage more large-scale PvP battles in the red zones.
Call to Arms isn’t just about faction warfare though. The update will also come with 10 new Hellgate layouts and new demonic enemies for more varied PvE Hellgate runs. A new rising lava mechanic will also be introduced in Hellgate PvP along with the ability to chain one Hellgate after another following a win. Players will also get to participate in 10vs10 Hellgate PvP for larger and more challenging group battles within the demon-riddled instances.
The update will also introduce significant quality-of-life improvements, including a loadout system that will allow players to create preset builds that they can quickly equip from storage. Players can also expect more intuitive ability tooltips and animated vegetation along with numerous bug fixes, balance changes, improvements, and optimizations.
