Guild Wars 2: Heart Of Thorns Officially Launches, Seven Million Guild Wars 2 Accounts Created

Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns has officially launched. For those that don't remember, the expansion brings in Masteries, Guild Halls, Raids, "a new chapter in the Personal Story saga," and the new Maguuma Jungle zone. A new PvP mode called Stronghold and PvP Leagues are also being introduced in this expansion. It can be purchased now via the official site for a minimum of $49.99. NCSoft have also released some of Guild Wars 2's statistics. Over 7 million accounts have been created since launch. Players have played a combined 1.4 billion hours of Guild Wars 2. PvP participation has grown 135% since last year. A stunning 40% of max level players welcomed new players at the starting zones on the free-to-play launch day.
