The Weekly Raid: Which MMO Was The Biggest Letdown?
Every year the MMO hype train is followed by the disappointment express, games that failed to live up to their overemphasized expectations. I think we all have one, or two. Maybe the game's following on the coattails of its predecessor, or a marketing campaign was more impressive than the final product.
Ragnarok Online 2 is perhaps the biggest disappointment in MMORPG history for fans of the first RO. It failed in nearly every way to capture the essence of the first game.
While hardcore Diablo 2 grinders couldn't find the same experience in Diablo 3—although I had fun. And Gunz 2: The Second Duel also missed the charm of the first game.
