Nightingale Dives Into Its Early Access Roadmap And Ongoing Work On Its Offline Mode

Inflexion Games has spent the last few weeks ironing out the kinks in Nightingale following the realm-hopping survival game’s early access launch in February. Last week’s realm-deleting bug further piled on to the list of things that the developers needed to address. Now that the vanishing realms have been restored, it’s freed the developers up to talk about its early access roadmap in its first post-launch developer video.
Inflexion Games CEO Aaryn Flynn admits that there’s still a few things that they need to address, the most pressing of which are the disconnection issues and exploits that plague the Victorian era sandbox title. The team has also started working on gameplay balance, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements like storage perks, which are expected to go live in the next few weeks.
After that, the focus will be on improving NPC behavior, progression, building, climbing, and recruits, as well as adding new weapon types and getting the promised offline mode out to players. “The offline mode falls into the medium-term category because it involves a lot of work,” said community coordinator Maribel Diaz. “For example, the game workload is currently split between the servers and your PC. […] We need to see how machines will handle doing the work of both. We’re still very early on this work and are unable to commit to timelines but know that we are working this.”
New biomes, points-of-interest, and creatures will also be introduced further down the line. In the meantime, you can check out the new developer video below.
