You Can Finally Get Your Hands On A Nintendo Switch Today

Nintendo's latest console, the Nintendo Switch, made waves a short time ago when it was fully unveiled as a traditional console that you could take with you on the go. It was touted as a console that you could take to a friend's house, split the core controller, which is made up of two Joycons, in two and play split-screen multiplayer with said friend without needing any extra peripherals—granted the game doesn't require a full controller setup. In the time leading up to its release, prospective buyers have undoubtedly been rather excited, many hailing the Switch as "revolutionary." Today, the system launched worldwide and we finally get to see whether it was worth the hype—so long as you didn't order it at 2 AM this morning like I did, that is.
While the Nintendo Switch doesn't really affect the world of online gaming as of yet, the potential is there—practically every review mentions that the console is bursting with potential in general. We've already heard that Dragon Quest X is headed to the Switch later on in its lifecycle, albeit it likely still won't make it stateside, and Nintendo seems to be rededicating itself to providing proper online services this time around. We may very well be talking about Nintendo Switch games here on the site sometime in the future.
But for now, the console's library is largely focused on single-player and local multiplayer play. Launch titles include 1-2-Switch, Fast RMX, Just Dance 2017, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Shovel Knight, Skylanders Imaginators, Snipperclips, and Super Bomberman R. ARMS, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and an assortment of games from World of Goo developer Tomorrow Corporation are set to be released over the next few months.
Did you end up purchasing a Switch? What games did you get or are you planning to get?
