Blizzard Paves The Way For Wrath Of The Lich King Classic With A New Lore Trailer
Blizzard is offering a brief history lesson on the former paladin Arthas Menethil and how he became the Lich King as the launch of Wrath of the Lich King Classic looms on the horizon. The story is told through the eyes of compatriot and the most powerful sorceress in Azeroth, Jaina Proudmoore.
For those who’ve played through the Warcraft 3 campaign from way back in 2002, you’re probably already familiar with the story of how the Prince of Lordaeron became one of Warcraft’s most powerful villains. Those who are new to the game, however, or somehow forgot one of the key pieces of lore in the franchise could benefit from the additional background information.
It’s also a good refresher as we prepare to head off into Northrend to storm the Icecrown Citadel when Wrath of the Lich King relaunches on the World of Warcraft Classic servers on September 26th. You’ll find the new lore trailer tucked snugly down below.
