Worlds Adrift Gets A Free Standalone Island Creator

Have you ever wanted to leave your mark on a persistent virtual world in a large way? Bossa Studios is giving players a chance to do exactly that with the Worlds Adrift Island Creator. Available now as a free download on Steam, the Island Creator allows players to create islands, explore them, and share them via the Steam Workshop. If the development team likes your creation, it may become a permanent fixture in the game's world of floating islands.

According to a new Steam Community post, the underlying idea behind world design is to create a procedural world in which you find a much smaller amount of hand-crafted content. The team believes that this will make the hand-crafted content more memorable when you do stumble upon it. The Island Creator gives players a chance to help design some of the hand-crafted content that will eventually be a part of the final game.
