Worlds Adrift Alpha Signups Are Open Once Again

Are you interested in helping test out Worlds Adrift? Did you miss out the last time Alpha signups were open? Fear not, for signups are open once again. Do note that only those who did not sign up last time are required to sign up this time. Those of you who have already signed up for testing, but did not get in last time, are not required to fill the form out again.

Bossa Studios co-founder and "Gamer-In-Chief" Henrique Olifiers had the following to say about the announcement.

Worlds Adrift is a hugely ambitious game. We are building a persistent world with realistic physics and true multiplayer, where players can cooperate, fight and explore with a freedom of agency that has never been achieved before. The feedback we get from our playtests is absolutely vital to shaping the future of the game – we couldn’t make Worlds Adrift without our community.

If you haven't been following Bossa Studios's SpatialOS-powered, fully persistent MMO Worlds Adrift up until now, be sure to watch the trailer below to get an idea of what it is like. If you decide that you would like to take part, you have until August 29th to make an account on the website and fill out the form. Bossa will be "recruiting LOTS of people," so your chances of getting invited are likely better than average. Those that do get invited to the Alpha playtest will be contacted on August 30th.

Matt's Take:

It felt like signups were only open for a second last time before they were closed. Since then, it feels like signs that actual testing has been happening have been limited. Sure, it's likely under an NDA, but it feels like progress updates that include the results of Alpha testing haven't really been there. It's nice to see that a larger test is taking place and that signups have reopened for those that missed out the first time around.
