Upcoming Mobile MMORPG World Of Zenonia Will Reportedly Be A Blockchain Game

Mobile RPG fans will probably be familiar with the long-running series of Zenonia single-player RPGs, the latest of which (Zenonia 5) launched more than a decade ago but is still available to download and play on both Google Play and the App Store. The franchise is now getting a mobile MMORPG called Zenonia Chronobreak.

Gamevil first announced the game as World of Zenonia back in 2020 although no other information about the game was revealed other than the title, which ended up being changed anyway. The latest news is that Zenonia Chronobreak will reportedly now be a blockchain game, presumably due to Com2uS Holdings’ acquisition of the studio in 2021. Com2uS would launch its own blockchain platform later that year followed by the launch of two blockchain games.

Unsurprisingly, Zenonia fans aren’t taking the news well especially since the cryptocurrency market has yet to recover from last year’s crash. The silver lining for Gamevil is that the news has encouraged fans to return to previous releases to get their mobile RPG fix.

As for Zenonia Chronobreak we’ll probably get a feel for how the game will turn out and whether the community’s reception will change as we move closer to its release.
