World Of Warcraft Classic’s Hardcore Self-Found Mode Goes Live On February 29
World of Warcraft Classic players will soon get the option to take their Hardcore Realm adventures to the extreme with Self-Found Mode. The new mode is set to arrive on February 29 and will impose additional restrictions that will force players to rely solely on grinding and NPC vendors for their items and gear.
“While in this mode, players will be restricted from sending or receiving mail from other players, buying, or selling on the auction house, or trading in any way (including giving or receiving items or enchantments),” the studio explains.
Self-found mode will be available from level 1 and offers a more challenging way to play through the permadeath server. Do note that no additional rewards will be granted for making your in-game journey significantly harder, but you do get bragging rights for your efforts. You can also permanently opt out of the mode at any point if you want to revert to the classic permadeath rules.
More information can be found on the World of Warcraft official website.
