Wild Terra To Receive Procedural Worlds And Player Servers

Juvty Worlds, the developers of Wild Terra, have outlined their future plans for the MMO survival title. The team have yet to give a solid look at what they have been planning until now. What they have planned is actually quite surprising.

One of the bigger plans is to make the move to procedural worlds. Currently, the world is hand-designed. In the future, Juvty Worlds want the server to expand procedurally based on the number of players calling the server home.

Mounts are also planned. With a world that grows ever larger, players will need a quicker way to get around. The animations and combat system will see an overhaul, making movement smoother and "[diversifying] PvP." A skill system will be introduced in order to allow players to slowly "master" crafting abilities before unlocking new recipes.

The most surprising of all of their future plans, however, is the plan to add "user-owned custom servers." It's rare for an MMORPG to add player servers, with games like Project D Online only adding the option once the official servers were destined to be shut down. Perhaps they are planning to capitalize on the game's roots in the survival genre by allowing players access to similar features to those found in popular survival games. Regardless of the case, at this point in time, no details over the amount of control players will have—or even if these servers will exist independently of a master server—have been revealed.

What do you think of player servers becoming an option in Wild Terra?
