Watch The New Monster Hunter Rise Trailer From The Game Awards 2020

Joining the parade of new trailers, announcements, and premieres during last night’s The Game Awards is Capcom’s upcoming multiplayer game, Monster Hunter Rise. The latest game trailer features actual gameplay footage and a brief look at some of the new creatures that players will be hunting down when the game launches on the Nintendo Switch.

One such creature is Somnacanth a water-dwelling serpent that can stun opponents using some sort of sleeping powder. Another new creature that players will be facing up against is Bishaten, a wyvern-like creature with a powerful spinning tail attack and the ability to throw fruit projectiles at his enemies. The Great Wroggi and Royal Ludroth from Monster Hunter 3 will also be appearing in the game.

The video also offers a quick look at the new Flooded Forest zone, a Rampage event, combat, and the game’s main characters.

Capcom has yet to announce a definite launch date but interested players can look forward to a limited-time free demo sometime in January 2021. In the meantime, you can check out the new trailer just after the jump.
