VR Golf Online Goes Live On Steam, Minus The Online Part

Kakao Games has made its big Steam debut and, surprisingly, its first game on Steam was not Black Desert Online—they're clearly saving the honor of being the first version of Black Desert Online on Steam for RedFox Games. No, instead, it was VR Golf Online, an HTC Vive-exclusive golf game with 36 courses and "realistic physics." There's just one problem; it didn't launch with online multiplayer.
Yes, that's right. Hilariously, the VR golf game with "online" in the title did not launch on Steam with online multiplayer. According to a Steam Community announcement, the reason for the lack of multiplayer is that the team at Kakao Games VR wants to ensure that the Steam version is cross-platform compatible with the previously-released Oculus version before allowing Steam users to play online at all, but one has to wonder why they didn't simply delay the launch until that was a feature—especially considering the fact that said update is expected to go live only two weeks from now.
Those interested in the online-less VR Golf Online can now purchase it via Steam. It will normally cost $19.99, but it is discounted to $14.99 for the week of release.
