In October last year, Riot Games unveiled a list of new games in development including a class-based competitive tactical shooter called Project A. A few months, and a few leaks later, Riot officially announced the game as Valorant. The studio is now gearing up for the game’s first closed beta test and have opened registrations on the official site.

The closed beta test will initially be available in the United States, Canada, Europe, Turkey, Russia, and the member countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States. “The plan is to roll out to more regions, if possible, pending the volatile logistics of launching a beta effectively during a global pandemic,” says Riot.

Anyone from the above-mentioned regions can register for the closed beta but only a small number of players will actually be able to get in because of server limitations. To register, all you need is a Riot account linked with a Twitch account. The test kicks off on April 7th on PC at 6am PST. The game is scheduled to launch this Summer which means that the closed beta will only be up for a short period of time.
