V Rising Is Launching Out Of Early Access Alongside Its Next Major Update In 2024

Multiplayer vampire survival game V Rising is… well, rising from its early access coffin when its next major update arrives sometime in 2024. The said update will mostly focus on endgame content with the opening of the high-level zones beyond Hallowed Mountains where the game’s final boss fight will take place along with dynamic endgame events that will pit players against “a strangely familiar threat.”

“It’s time to finally cross that cut rope bridge and venture into the ancient and mysterious lands beyond,” developer Stunlock Studios teased in its latest dev blog. “This region will be the last step of building your legacy before you move on to fight for ultimate Vampire supremacy somewhere that gives that last threat the build-up and gravitas it deserves.”

The update will also introduce a whole host of performance and optimization improvements for both high-end and low-end rigs. The team also reveals ongoing work on the final V Blood bosses and rewards, adjustments to the spell system, appearance changes, and a few potential game additions based on player requests which could add “fun complexity and specialization” to player builds.

Unfortunately, based on how long it took for Stunlock to roll out its Secrets of Gloomrot expansion and by the studio’s own admission, it looks like it’s going to be a while before we get more information about the update and the new things that the team is working on.

“We’re currently cooking away at quite a few things that need some more time in the cauldron before they’re ready to be seen (or potentially locked away in the dungeon if they end up being awful). We work best with a little breathing room,” the studio said.
