Ubisoft Confirms The Division 3 Is Under Development Alongside Other The Division Titles

Ubisoft has officially confirmed that a new The Division game is in the works, and it’s not just a spinoff but the third installment in the post-apocalypic shooter series. The Division 3 is being developed alongside other The Division games with Star Wars Outlaws game director Julian Gerightyr heading up the project and the franchise as its new executive producer.

Not much else is known about the upcoming game apart from the fact that it’s currently in development. The Division came out in 2016, taking place in the bandit-overrun streets of New York. The Division 2 followed in 2019 and is set in Washington DC a few months after the events of the first game. With that in mind, its probably safe to assume that the narrative will continue in The Division 3 but in an entirely different region.

Ubisoft is also working on a mobile spinoff called The Division: Resurgence and the survival-focused The Division: Heartland which will be launching in early 2024 and 2023, respectively.
