Turkish Company Resurrecting Phoenix Dynasty Online as Phoenix Dynasty 2

Turkey based game developer Ntroy LTD is joining the MMO necromancy game and bringing back the Phoenix Dynasty Online franchise to life with Phoenix Dynasty 2. The game is launching on Steam in Turkish sometime in August with the English version launching on October 6th. The first game in the series was originally developed by the Chinese game studio Object Software Limited and launched the West in 2007 through Ingle Games. While the game lasted a few years, it never reached much commercial success. This version of the game is a revamped version of the original and is specifically focused on PvP. This version was specifically designed for the Turkish market and was originally names Kaos2, but is coming out in English in the near future.

Phoenix Dynasty 2 isn't the only old school MMORPG that was resurrected recently. Countless older games like Legend of Ares, Lucent Heart, Asta Online, Karos Returns, and countless other older MMOs have found new life on Steam. I think we'll continue to see more and more old dead MMORPGs relaunch on Steam hoping to find new life.

On a side note, it looks like I can celebrate my birthday with the English launch of Phoenix Dynasty 2. Yay.....
