Trion Worlds Acquires Marvel Heroes Developer Gazillion Entertainment

Trion Worlds, the company behind ArcheAge, Trove, and Rift, acquired the assets of the now defunct game developer Gazillion Entertainment which previously published Marvel Heroes. Trion acquired "Gazillion licenses, trademarks, patents and domains, in addition to its library of games."

Gazillion Entertainment shut down after Disney chose not the renew the Marvel license with the company. Even with today's acquisition news, players should not expect a relaunch of Marvel Heroes. Trion intends on integrating Gazillion's tech with their Glyph platform to better support their existing games and help expand their business to game publishing.
