Tree of Savior CB3 Starts July 30th
Community proclaimed spiritual successor to Ragnarok Online, Tree of Savior, has announced that they will be moving into their 3rd Closed Beta test on July 30th. The latest test has a ton of new updates, the most drastic of which is the removal of all non main story-line quests to field notifications. This makes the quests hidden and requires exploration to find them.
The first iteration of ToS' Party Match function has also been added which matches players according to level, location, quest progress and composition. After a match has been found, both the party leader and the player need to accept in order for the party to form, otherwise the player will go right back into the matchmaking system. Whole parties can PvP together in Team Battle League as well, climbing the ladder for rankings.
Highly anticipated mouse controls have also been added, but the developers have stated that they are not recommended for melee classes, particularly Clerics and Swordsmans. Rangers and Wizards may find the new system to be helpful, but players can still use WASD to move without having to switch their settings.
Various re-balances have been made as well, adding a levelcap onto attributes and removing weapon-type restrictions as much as possible from abilities. They've also added a simple card battle mini-game for boss cards, in which both players put their cards on the line for some good old fashioned RNG.
