Total War: Warhammer 3 ‘Immortal Empires’ DLC Launch Date Revealed

Creative Assembly has finally announced the release date for Total War: Warhammer 3’s new Immortal Empires campaign expansion. The massive new DLC arrives alongside Update 2.0 on August 23rd bringing with it a new campaign map that combines all the maps and factions from all three previously-released Warhammer games.
Immortal Empires, however, will not tie in with Warhammer 3’s uniquely-designed Realm of Chaos campaign. Instead, it will go back to the traditional conquest-style campaign structure of the earlier Total War: Warhammer games, but on a more massive scale. New content will also be added to the campaign down the line much like how Warhammer 2’s campaign evolved.
“It’s going to be an ever-evolving, ever-changing campaign,” says Game Director Richard Aldridge. “We know we're going to be adding loads of new content over the course of time for you to enjoy, so expect years’ worth of fantastic experiences ahead. And I dare say we will change the map and who's in it and everything else along the way.”
Victory conditions and factions will also be tweaked and slightly reworked to better align it with the new campaign. Players will have various short-term objectives which will ultimately nudge players towards wiping out other factions and achieving racial victory conditions as the entire narrative unfolds.
Immortal Empires will also be launching in beta mode so expect to see more changes and improvements following the free DLC’s launch next month. You can learn more about the upcoming expansion in the Q&A video below.
