The Saga Of Lucimia's Combat System Explained In New Video

As The Saga of Lucimia approaches its April 30th Early Access phase, the team has begun to unveil more details about gameplay. A video posted today gives us our first real look at the basics of combat. The game uses a d20-based system with mobs each having their own resistances and mitigations. Impressively, spells can be used while moving, but they have long cooldown timers.

So far, combat looks pretty standard fare. Perhaps there is more to it at higher levels of play or once other players are added into the mix, but the base is very familiar. Fortunately, the focus on group play should make the game feel fairly unique. You can see the difficulty level that the team is aiming for at work when the developer recording the video is killed by a single mob.
