The Neverwinter Masquerade And Contest Of Liars Halloween Event Will Go Live On October 24
With just a week to go before Halloween, every other MMO seems to have picked this week to roll out their Halloween updates, fantasy MMORPG Neverwinter among them. The Masquerade of Liars Halloween event returns on October 24th and will run until November 7th bringing with it a variety of Halloween-themed items and content, masks, and even more masks.
During the event, players will be rewarded with Liar’s Charms for completing daily quests. Liar’s Charms can then be traded in for Illusionist Bags which in turn contain two to three Masqurade Tokens, Illusionist Mask refinement items, and a chance to acquire a Beholder Piñata.
Masquerade Tokens can be traded in for a variety of items including the Illusionist’s Mask, the Enchanted Broom mount, the Wandering Scarecrow companion, and Halloween-themed Fashion Masks. This year, players will also be able to trade in their fully upgraded Illusionist’s Masks along with a few Masquerade Tokens for the more powerful Empowered Illusionist’s Mask.
The Contest of Liars community event will also be returning to the game during the event. “Complete daily quests and add to your team’s stockpile of treats. When the contest ends, the team that has gathered the most treats wins the contest. Any members of that team, who have contributed the minimum amount, will qualify for a free gift and additional bonuses.” Treats can also be looted from enemy corpses. The winning team will be rewarded with a permanent illusion mask that will let them take on the appearance of their team’s representative.
One free mask will be given to each member of the winning team who meet the minimum contribution requirements and will be able to purchase additional masks from the cash shop at a discounted price. All other participants who reached the contribution requirements will be able to buy the masks at full price.
