With The First Descendant crossplay open beta coming to a close tomorrow, players are clamoring to get their fill of the third-person looter shooter before the beta servers go offline. The game logged a peak player concurrency of over 50,000 players this past Friday and an average peak concurrency of roughly 40,000 players throughout the weekend.

To show their appreciation, Nexon Games has a surprise waiting for players when they login today in the form of a last-minute login event. From 8 a.m. PDT today to 12 a.m. PDT tomorrow, open beta participants will be able to claim a big bundle of in-game currency including Kuiper Shards, gold, credits, caliber, and Energy Activators.

Those who logged in between 11:30 p.m. PDT on September 23rd and 8 a.m. PDT earlier today should have also received a slightly smaller bundle of rewards.

“As a token of gratitude, we have prepared a surprise event so you can enjoy various contents for the lasting test period,” Nexon announced. “Thank you for actively participating in The First Descendant Crossplay Open Beta.”

The studio notes that the rewards should automatically be delivered to your in-game mailbox within 10 minutes of logging in. Those who experience delays are advised to logout into the title screen and log back in again to receive their rewards.

Given that unlocking characters in the game requires a significant time investment, these bonus rewards are a welcome addition to help players get the most out of the playtest before it ends at 11:59 p.m. PDT on September 25th.
