The Finals Season 2 Goes Live With A New Map, Game Mode, Playstyle, And Weapons

Season 2 has officially begun in The Finals and it’s packed with new content for everyone to enjoy, including a glitchy new map, an arena-destroying game mode, a game-changing playstyle, and a barebones version of private matches.
First up is the new Hacker playstyle which grants you the power to transform the arena to your advantage with a collection of new specializations and gadgets like the Gateway for the Light build, the Dematerializer specialization and Data Reshaper for the Medium build, and the Anti-Gravity Cube for the Heavy Build.
The Gateway allows players to deploy limited-range portals, the Dematerializer creates a temporary hole through surfaces like walls and ceilings, the Data Reshaper transforms deployed gadgets into arena props, and the Anti-Gravity Cube reverses gravity in the area immediately surrounding it. Three new weapons have also been added to the game, including the FAMAS rifle, 93R pistol, and KS-23 shotgun, all of which are based off their real-world counterparts.
There’s no better place to wreak havoc with the new weapons and high-tech gadgets than the new SYS$HORIZON map, as its already glitchy enough as it is. It’s described as a “colorful cityscape that’s partially loaded with floating geometric shapes” and features a night-time mode that transforms it into a glowing neon battleground.
The new season also introduces a new tutorial set in the picturesque Monaco map and a new 5v5 casual game mode called Power Shift where two teams compete to escort a floating platform through the arena as it demolishes anything in its path. “With short respawn times and the ability to switch contestants on respawn, you’ll be able to balance your team on the fly, as you fight to control the platform and be the first to deliver it across the finish line!”
Season 2 also comes with a new battle pass with a 12-page themed reward track that offers a whopping 96 rewards. Players can also gain battle pass progress and additional rewards by completing weekly contracts from the new Career Circuit.
