The Adventurer’s Domain Online Gears Up For Early Access Launch On Steam This Month
Classic MMORPG fans might want to keep an eye out for The Adventurer’s Domain Online which offers classic MMORPG vibes coupled with a third-person action combat system typical of more modern entries in the genre.
The game is being developed and published by indie studio Unbalanced Equations who promises a shared world adventure with numerous zones to explore, dungeons to prowl, and optional PvP for those who want to get down and dirty. The game will feature a fast-paced action combat system with a traditional skill-based progression system where players earn XP and skill points that they can distribute into various stats and skill trees to create the perfect build for their playstyle.
Players can also engage in alternative activities such as gathering, fishing, and crafting or sail the high seas to hunt sea monsters, establish and run trade routes, or live the life of a pirate. “TADO isn’t a huge high budget game with all the edges shaven off in the name of homogeneous balance or maximum engagement, it’s not trying to be,” said the developers. “If you’re looking for a place to chill out exploring, crafting rare items, digging up buried treasure, or hitting the seas in search of adventure then look no further.”
The Adventurer’s Domain Online is scheduled to hit Steam Early Access on January 26th and is expected to stay in early access for about a year while Unbalanced Equations adds side quests and other activities outside of the main story quests, which has apparently already been completed. The studio also notes that the game’s price might increase at the end of its early access run which suggests that the game will be buy-to-play when it comes out later this month.
