If you’re a Temtem player who’d rather just skip right to the PvP battles, then you’ll be happy to know that Crema Games has released a standalone spinoff called Temtem Showdown that does away with all the exploration and story quests, allowing you to jump straight into the action.

“Temtem Showdown takes the best Temtem competitive action and places it within immediate reach for everyone,” announced Crema. “Get to know the colorful critters from the massively multiplayer creature-collection adventure, build your team in seconds, and dash into battle to test it out against other players and their teams—or carefully curate a plan of action to overpower your opponents.”

It’s basically a multiplayer arena battler where players will get to assemble and customize a team of monsters without the need to explore the game world and capture them. Players can choose from multiple game modes including practice battles, ranked matches, and tournaments hosted by either the TemCS esports circuit or by other players.

Crema Games promises a new season every few months with regular balance adjustments to keep the meta fresh. You won’t need a copy of the original game to play, but Temtem players have the option to link their Steam accounts with Temtem Showdown to earn seasonal, weekly, and daily rewards.

Temtem Showdown is now available on Steam and is absolutely free-to-play with no microtransactions. All you have to do is download the game and jump into the arena.
