Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge Sells Over 1 Million Copies In A Week

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is a modernized 90s arcade brawler that’s been drawing in quite a crowd since it launched last month. Historically, TMNT games haven’t been all that popular but Shredder’s Revenge seems to have hit the right spot, selling over one million copies in just its first week.
“We are humbled to have so many people sharing our love of the Turtles!” tweeted developer Tribute Games. “One million copies sold in its first week calls for a mondo pizza party with tubular toppings! Thanks again to all of you all over the globe and in Dimension X!”

“We can't thank you enough for your everlasting support!” added publisher Dotemu. “Working on TMNT was the challenge of a lifetime and everything became possible thanks to Nickelodeon and the incredible work of Tribute Games!”
The game is essentially a follow-up to Konami’s TMNT games featuring the same art style and visuals as the classic games with more modern mechanics added in. These include a super attack system, the ability to dodge-roll, and multiplayer support for up to six players (four on PlayStation).
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. While it probably won’t be winning any awards, it’s still worth checking out especially if you’re a 90s kid, a fan of the series, or both. Turtle power!
