Kakao Games and Reality MagiQ’s will be holding another round of beta testing for their upcoming survival MMO shooter, Dysterra. The beta test starts today and will run until May 17th featuring various improvements from the previous rounds, including an updated UI and better motion capture animations. Both PvE and PvP servers will be available during the test.

“Dysterra is an online multiplayer game, mixing solid first-person shooting with sophisticated survival and crafting elements, in a distinct dystopian world; following the Terrafire — an enormous pillar of fire that erupted after humans began mining the Earth’s core. Players have to fight to survive as the planet’s final days ebb away.”

“During the global beta test, they will engage in ferocious battles with a mixture of melee weapons and firearms,” said the team. “While the more taxing crafting requirements (lowering entry barrier for shelter construction, etc) have been modified to accommodate the game’s beta period, with Kakao Games and developer Reality MagiQ wanting participation to maximize interaction between players. There should also be more of a focus on acquiring special skills through relentless combat and base occupation.”

Players who want to take the game out for a spin can request access on the Dysterra Steam page. Check out the new beta trailer below to get an idea of what to expect during the test.
