Stellar Overload Overloads Early Access

Two and a half years, $310,708, and a name change later, Cubical Drift's gorgeous procedurally generated sandbox game, Stellar Overload, has finally made its debut on Steam Early Access. Unlike many other block-based sandbox games, Stellar Overload sets itself apart by making use of blocks of various shapes, creating a much more visually appealing environment. It also features cube-shaped planets with gravity that shifts based on which side of the planet you're on.

The Early Access version of the game features five weapons, one set of armor, six enemies, and a single boss. Players can explore planets with varying levels of difficulty, using jetpacks and vehicles to travel faster, and battle their way through semi-procedural dungeons. The team at Cubical Drift expects the game to be in Early Access for at least a year.

Stellar Overload is available now on Steam Early Access for $19.99. It is temporarily discounted to $17.99 for the week of launch.
