Starcraft II World Championship Series to be Held in France

ESL has announced that the Season 1 Finals for Blizzard's Starcraft II World Championship Series will take place at Gamers Assembly in Politiers, France. This huge tournament will feature the top 16 players from around the world to do battle from April 3rd - 5th. There is a total prize pool of $217,000 USD, which should definitely make them fight seriously.

As for the reason why it will be held in Politiers, David Kugelmann had this to say, "France boasts one of the world’s most concentrated StarCraft II communities in the world. Gamers Assembly, which has been steadily growing since its conception in the early 2000s, was the perfect choice of location for the Season 1 Finals as it offers a fantastic setting in which to have some of the world’s best players compete.”

"Gamers Assembly 2015 will be a celebration of the gaming and eSports communities, featuring multiple gaming opportunities and avenues alongside the StarCraft II WCS Season 1 Finals, for which the following players will take to the stage:"
