Star Citizen is bringing back its Invictus Launch Week event in a little over a week, bringing with it an opportunity to test out military vehicles, explore new releases, and take a tour of a Javelin destroyer. The free-fly event will run from May 19th to May 30th and will be open to both longtime fans and new players.

This year’s Invictus Launch Week will take place in Area 18 on ArcCorp, and players will have the chance to take some of the game’s most powerful military vehicles for a test run. For those who are new to the game, this is an excellent opportunity to test out some of Star Citizen’s most exciting features.

In addition to the free fly event, Star Citizen Live is back with a new episode that offers a preview of what’s coming in the sci-fi MMORPG’s Alpha 3.19 update. The update will introduce various mining improvements including the addition of static resource locations and mining UI updates as well as tweaks to mineable resources and mining tools. The developers also discussed the current state of salvaging and future updates to the feature, such as updates to tractor beams and “munching” materials.
