Snail Games Shows Off Dark And Light's Holographic Map

Snail Games' Dark and Light still doesn't have an official release date, but the company wants to remind you that the game exists by showing off its "holographic" map. It is boasting this feature because, unlike many games, which make use of a 2D map that takes up your entire screen when open, Dark and Light's holographic map sits in the open world in front of your character. They have demonstrated this by providing the image seen below, which was taken at night to highlight the map.

The map is, however, a spell, which means that players will need to learn how to cast it. It will be interesting to see how the game gets around the fact that those who don't use magic will be unable to cast the spell. Will there be players dedicated to casting the map spell? Will it be a low-level spell that is easy for anyone to learn? Unfortunately, the intent of the design was not noted in the blog post.
