SMITE 2 Founder’s Packs Now On Sale With Guaranteed Access To Weekend Alpha Tests
While Hi-Rez Studios has confirmed that SMITE 2 will be free-to-play on launch, it’s still hoping to earn a few extra bucks before the sequel’s release by dangling the alpha carrot in hopes of getting fans to purchase founder’s packs.
All Founder’s Editions include guaranteed access to next month’s weekend closed alpha tests, permanent access to the third-person MOBA’s full roster of heroes, double Legacy Gem earnings forever, and the exclusive Cacodemon Ymir skin. Higher tiers will also include free Ascension Passes, cross-gen skins, and a special title, avatar, and badge.
“Pre-order up a SMITE 2 Founder’s Edition on Steam, Epic Games, Xbox, or PlayStation starting on April 15th to guarantee game access for our closed alpha weekend test events this spring along with a ton of other in game loot including cross-gen skins in SMITE 1 and 2, avatars, badges and more,” the studio said. “Don’t forget, purchasing a Founder’s Edition will also double your legacy gems in SMITE 2!”
Founder’s Editions are now available for purchase on the SMITE 2 official site, starting at $29.99 for the base tier, $59.99 for the deluxe tier, and $99.99 for the ultimate tier. The game itself is slated to launch on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on July 20.
