Skull And Bones Shows Off Its Customization Features And Faction System

Ubisoft showed off some of the ways that players will be able to customize their ships in Skull and Bones along with a bunch of new trailers during the publisher’s Ubisoft Forward presentation this past weekend.

As far as ship customization goes, players will be able to change their ship-faring ride’s armor and weapons loadout, they’ll also be able to pimp it out with various figureheads, sails, crow’s nests, railings, and its ship’s wheel. Players will also be able to look the part with a variety of costumes and outfits that will be available in the pirate-themed MMO. These cosmetic items can be earned by completing contracts and challenges, sinking and looting other ships, or by purchasing them from an NPC vendor.

As for sinking ships, players will also be able to earn or lose reputation with several pirate factions depending on their actions. They’ll have to carefully balance their reputation with these factions as making an enemy of a certain faction will come with consequences.
